Goal of the site
This site will be designed to inform both members of the troop and the general public. For the members of the troop it will provide information about the members of the troop and detailed information of upcoming events. For the general public it will inform them of the upcoming events as well as what the troop is about. It will provide a way to contact the troop as well as where we meet and information about attending.
Objectives to accomplish
- Provide a platform for members to view upcoming events
- Provide contact and organizational information about the troop for members
- Provide contact information for the public and perspective members
- Provide resources for events and merit badges
Audience
This site would target two distinct groups:
- The scouts (members of the troop) and their families.
- The general public, especially those looking to join or find out more about scouting (ages 14 to 18) (In the Monticello, MN area).
Content
This site will feature pages including:
- Leadership
- A description of the troop leadership. A small synopsis of who they are.
- Events
- A calendar of events the troop will be hosting or participating in as well as the topic of the weekly meetings.
- Contact
- A description of how to request more information as well as where the troop meets in case the reader would like to attend a meeting.
- Past Activities
- A page with activities engaged in by the troop, a description of the activity, and photos of the boys taking part.
- Links
- A list of different sites that are useful for scouts and that provide different resources for them.
